I watch my food all the time. and when someone brings real pastry or cookies from a real bakery i just have to eat all of it. sure it takes days but it is still something i usually do not have.. oh like cannoli and rainbow cookies and pine nut cookies.. well you know what i mean, so i eat and than the next day i watch every mouthfull and i still have 5 pounds to loose.

I weigh in on Wednesdays and so on Monday I eat as sparing of sodium as I can since I can bloat like a blimp from even one pickle. Luckily it worked out and I lost weight, and thank goodness it wasn't a Wednesday after Thanksgiving helped too lol Measurements going down too, just a touch, but that's okay. The really cool thing is that I had my favorite treat, DQ Peanutbuster Parfait, on Saturday. I don't know that I could get by with one every weekend but theoretically I could. But for me over two slices of bread or it's equivalent a day and I don't lose an ounce. Weird huh.

Hellloooooooooo? Is it because it's the Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years eat as many treats as you possibly can and then try to make up for it in January??

I think I ate all the christmas cookies. lol Congratulations! I went off the rails this past week. I'm back on the wagon now. The pull to eat "the old way" is so very strong. It takes all of my concentration to comfort myself differently. I'm about 25% on that but maybe by the time I die I'll have it down

Yep, back on the "wagon" for me. Unfortunately with my shoulder hurting more and more, it is harder to exercise so I am really going to have to watch closely what I eat (and don't eat).

Talk about discouraged .... i can not shake the 7 pounds. and keep it off. how does a person get rid of belly fat. ?? does a person have to starve themselves to get to a workable weight. i am not saying pencil thin. just enough that my pants are not tight around the middle. and my skin is over the top of the waist band. i go days without bread. cookies. candy. ice cream and i loose 1 pound. and i work around the farm like a horse. (no pun intended) so if someone has a secret method please share.

I'm an expert at working to lose weight and then gaining it back. I know for a fact that I have to build muscle along with aerobics and forgoing starches to have a slow go at losing fat. But I lety emotions run my choices and it's all downhill.
However I am done gaining too much. I mean it takes all my intention to stay at this weight which is 30 more than I'd like. Could be worse. But the self hate is the pits

You've summed it all up . I've finally found a diet that works for me, and wherever that leads me, however much I lose, will be what it is. I've lost some, don't know how much, as I'm refusing to upset myself with a scale. But I FEEL much better, and have gone down a few sizes in clothes. So feeling pretty good about it, and will stay the course. smileys-easter-523326

I follow the WW program which is retraining my thinking about food and showing me how much is enough and all of that. I couldn't stick to a diet unless it was bagels, cream cheese and pizza. Oh and daily DQ
