I had to cut off my milk :( (I love milk), sugar, fat, red meat and salt because of my hormonal problems that cause me problems with my body. My doctor said that I have to stop eating dairy products because of all the hormones which are pumped in to the food to improve lactation and regulation of estrus in dairy cows, which is then transmitted to the milk and then to the one who drinks it. So, because I do have hormonal imbalance in my body it worsened my hormonal status. I know this is not exatcly the thread for this....

Since I brought home an elliptical I've stayed the same weight and alternately bloat out and debloat. Pretty discouraging but I know what would happen if I stop trying to watch my eating and that's how I got this big in the first place! Oh well. Get back on the horse...

Hey Val - how's the T25 working out for you? I'm frustrated that I am doing so much and not really seeing weight loss results. I think I need to spice things up.

Great idea! I am already trying to be weary of what I eat over the holidays.
I have been trying to eliminate pop for about a month now as the first step in reducing my overall sugar intake.
I have some thyroid issues that make it hard for me to loose weight, as well as a knee that needs replacing. A nice support thread like this is great!

I lost a little over 50lbs on WW a few years ago. I felt great! And it has all come back - my hubby and daughter are the eat whatever you want and never gain a lb group and they are junk foodies! I on the other hand try to watch what I eat and am easily 70lbs over weight. I try to watch what I eat but I love to and do it often - that is my biggest downfall. And working at a desk all day. Keep up the inspiring stories. I would at least like to lose 20lbs - I know I will feel better -

Foods my downfall, I love it! Im giving up alcohol for at least a month, lots of calories in it, last time I gave that up I lost 15lbs in a month, I want to start exercising but have trouble motivating myself, hubbys gone a few days this week so I will try while hes gone, sometimes its easier if you know you dont have to have supper ready at a certain time or go to bed at a certain time.

I gained a lot of weight being on maternity leave and I've been finding it hard to put the weight off. It don't always have control over meal plans (my in-laws cook a lot and get insulted if I make my own meals.... it's a challenge sometimes!) but since I've been at work now, just recently started full time on the 21st I feel like I fit in my cloths better. I never actually weighed myself but I know I feel better. It's nice because I pack my lunch for work and it forces me to stick to my diet and I can fill my lunch box with healthy foods. It makes a huge difference! My supper portions have been cut in half! And I'm actually happy with it like that. I don't go hungry that's for sure.
It just feels great to be active again, even if it's in the form of an 8 hour shift that I run for most of!! LOL
I can just imagine how you feel Carshon being at a desk all day! I think I would go crazy. Don't get me wrong, when it's time for me to sit down and chart at work gosh, it's heavenly but I don't really get to sit down at all during my shift and I only ever really take my 30min supper break (with time I will learn to take my 2- 15's! There's just so much to do though) But I definitely get where you are coming from. Personally I am not motivated by going to the gym or walking. I don't really enjoy it. BUT send me to the barn, I won't even realize how much exercise I get when I'm there because I just love being at the barn. When I was at my smallest weight, I was working at a barn every weekend and the owners of the farm had a saying that if you don't do something "now" then go home. Well if someone said grab a wheelbarrow, I ran! There was no way in heck I was going home because of the other slackers in the group. I am obviously not that motivated anymore to grab a wheelbarrow anymore LOL It may sounds silly, but when sheldon was on stall rest, I had to clean his stall every day. Just one stall. And I could feel my arms getting stronger by day 3.
I find when you're trying to find a way to fit activity in your life, find something that keeps you motivated. For me, horses motivate me. Right now, it's work. I've even officially started taking the stairs at work. LOL I think once lily is older walks might be more motivating for me as exercise but I can almost guarantee I am not a gym girl!
Best of luck with your goals everyone!!! You got this!

Im struggling, I just ate a wrap with chicken and tomato but Im still hungry, I need to start drinking too, Im awful for having no fluid intake, I crave carbs something rotten, I have some pills for my adrenal gland that helped with the carb cravings, guess I need to start taking them!

Pills worked lol!.....managed to stay a good 165 under my quota which is already 20% under my daily recommended amount as I want to lose fast:)
Once the first week is by I should manage to do it much easier, shrink my belly a bit so it needs less to fill it, plan to run on the treadmill today, I used to do x country running when I was younger and loved it but hurt my ankle(yes, horse incident!) and I now have a chipped bone that makes it a bit weaker so Im hoping it can stand up to enough to let me get a sweat up!
Weekend will be hardest as Im off the booze and I know hubby will be drinking which means potato chips too which are my biggest weakness, I will resist!!!!

Another block I have is the 3:30pm one, I start cooking supper 5pm, the time in between all I think about is snacking, I come up from kennels at 3pm watch coronation street then it starts, soooo I've decided to PVR Corry, come up at 3pm and that's when I will exercise, that will take me hopefully through the snack craving and as I'll be drinking water flavoured take my mind off it too, hopefully!

sorry if anyones sick of me rambling on on this thread but it gives me incentive!
I just ate a big lunch, I have 300 calories left for my supper, I plan to have salad and garlic mushrooms as spud is delivering some nice organic produce to my door today so I will still be under my calories, just!
I find I do better having more at lunch, I never want to eat much at suppertime, I like a little snack before bed, I keep babybels on hand, they arent too bad for calories and they say its good to eat protein late at night as opposed to carbs:)

LD, i think the problem with eating a large meal at lunch and than eating dinner is really two big meals a day, as for me i would rather have a little lunch. snack at 3 pm and dinner at 630 and perhaps a small no calorie or low carb item at 8
and no we love hearing about your eating habits. helps us try to cut down also.

HL, I dont eat dinner, I might have some homemade soup, thats it, I feel if I have a big lunch then I burn those calories off, the soup keeps going for doing the kennel dogs at night then a small snack, babybel on Ryvita keeps my tummy from rumbling in bed!
I managed to stay under yesterday, i also managed to squeeze in a half hour jog on the treadmill, it went by fast as I put an episode of the walking dead on as I get so bored on those machines, worked like a charm.
Also realised I dont have to lose as much as I thought, hubby kept saying the digital scale was broken, anyway I looked out the old fashioned one and after checking the readings on both using a box of bath salts I realised the digital is reading 5lbs over!.....so Im a bit lighter than I thought:)
Amazing though how just laying off the alcohol and carbs helps so much, I feel less bloated and lighter already!

nothing like loosing 5 pounds in a flash. and your plan does sound like it is working. anything to burn off those calories.
