Much better, perhaps that is why he would not eat. nothing smelled like food. and he also had the blockage which did not help matters.

I just finished getting caught up on everything you and Sky have been going through. Oh my, you've both had a rough time! I'm so glad Sky is home now. His nose certainly looks better. I pray he will continue to improve and begin eating on his own soon.

Ya'll are so great! From your mouth's to God's ear. I do wish that had worked, it had been my hope. Today I've tried sardines and tiny shrimp, both were recommendations, both failed. I still have tuna, oh darn, forget the Fancy Feast Mackerel and veggies. I do have about every delicacy I could find on the shelves. I've already tried cat milk. One thing that makes it harder, to do four feedings, is about every four hours. I need to make the attempts when he's as hungry as possible. Just try right before feedings, but sometimes time is short. I've got to try harder. Last time I fed, he started struggling some. Something about it made me wonder, so I pulled out the syringe and let him down, he headed straight for the litter box. When he was done we went back to the feeding and he was just fine. Anyway, need to get ready for a feeding.

try baby food meat. when i had a sick cat all he wanted was that. no filler and additives . i also cooked and ground liver or chicken. perhaps give that a try, i now it is more work but worth the try.

hl, thanks for the reminder! I have used (meat only) baby food before. Mostly for cats during hospice. I remember being told they had tried it at the clinic, but home is different!

Haven't had a chance to pick up the baby food. I've had Sky with me, vet trip, in town so I didn't want to leave him in the truck. Everything is pretty much the same. Tube feedings going well. He is pooping, and it looks perfectly normal. I've been working on finding every picture, and video I've ever taken of Sky. Unfortunately I don't take nearly as many, of either, as I should. I need to get current pics, videos of all my kids. Many are way overdue, for like years. I need Sky though, for the fundraiser, youtube and his facebook page. The lack of pics/videos is matched by my lack of tech knowledge. It is taking way too much time trying to figure it how to do all this stuff. Losing net a couple times a day doesn't help either. Anyway, back to the figurin".

How's Sky doing? I saw your post on FB to George, it doesn't sound like things are getting any better. Still praying.

50/50 and still going is 100 for each moment so that's another way to look at it. I'm sure by your comforting and love Sky will feel better and from that feel like eating, poor little goober.

The outpouring of support there has been amazing and has kept me busy, plus going through 19 pages of a thread I posted on a cat forum. The tread begins a couple of weeks after finding Sky in the ditch. It was very emotional going through it. I took notes until my hand hurt. The thread is in a private area, but the admin/creator of the site is a friend and I have asked if there is a way to make it public, so it can be shared. He is working on it! But, there is good news! Perhaps the huge outpouring of prayers made a difference! Here are the videos; He is not out of the woods by any means. Nibbles do not equal eating, but it gives me hope! Even more is seeing a Sky I haven't seen in over a month! Seeing him out, walking around, looking for love; that is a miracle!

Aw, it warmed my heart seeing him rub on your leg! He looks like he is doing much better! My first thought was that he looked like "Superkitty" with his red "cape" on!

I love it "Super Kitty" And eating! Even nibbles is still eating!!! I could just feel your "uff" in my heart when you gave him what appears to of been a very premium kitty food and he didn't even taste it... at first. I suppose like the rest of us, eating those tiny bits more often helps his tummy feel better. And yes, he is your life right now, isn't he And you do it gladly with a warm heart O_oBless you momma!

Thank you, yes he does! I wish it was over, but not. On the awesome side, he reminds me when it's time for a "feeding", shouldn't that be a sign of being hungry? He will nibble, it should be a start. Goodies don't really make a difference, he will go over to a bowl of regular dry food, nibble; if I offer something special, nothing. Sometimes just taking advantage of his "enthusiasm" I'll offer a goodie, nothing, maybe a bite, but that's it. Tuna, sardines, baby food, everything I've thought of and suggestions made. Also, he will be underfoot as I prep, then I'll head for the chair, he might follow, but he will come when I call. On the other hand; not eating on his own, his belly is always round and full feeling (like an animal with worms), not any updates on his actual condition. I know of two blood tests, both which I asked for, I have no idea if they might have been done anyway, all I know is I asked and they were done. I was informed about one UA, that "looked awful" and had crystals an pus in it. I do need to study the bills, but I was not informed of any others. The last time we (Sky and I) were in it was to show me how to change his wrap. I asked about his tummy, she said he's lost weight and that's extra skin (firm extra skin, really?) she did feel him and said his bladder could use expressing. I wish I wasn't so slow, didn't think about it until later at home; but wouldn't that have been a perfect opportunity to run a UA? I'm no vet, but I sure would like to know if his blood work is good and if a UA shows the infection is gone. Friday I went out to find a horse with a swollen knee. I cleaned the one little spot I could find and hosed, give it a chance to see how it goes. Still, maybe just a hair bigger, the same. Put in a call to my horse vet. I went in and got antibiotics and some anti-inflammatory. Jess was out in the wrong direction making farm calls. Her dad was there, he is a small animal vet. I couldn't help but ask what normal protocol is for a cat with Sky's issues. I did also mention that I had asked about a sonogram weeks ago, got nothing. Dad was looking concerned and I asked, he said they (he) would have done a sonogram a long time ago. He made a comment that sticks in my mind, "it's not what a vet misses, it's what he doesn't look for". We have an appointment for a sonogram first thing Tues am. I am to bring the copies of his two blood tests.

So are you going to see your vet on Tuesday or Jess's dad? Sounds like it might be time for a second opinion. It does sound like he is improving some but if nothing is really improving with his original problem, how is he going to progress? I know you are doing all you can for him and you are doing a great job! Just time for a second opinion (but just my opinion).
