I'm glad his new owner loves him and that he has a job to do with her dad. Hopefully he will come back from the mountains a better horse and will quit all that silliness with the feet and the stirrups. Can't wait to hear how he did.

I think the slipping of the feet out of the stirups scares him and he get confused and reacts. thankfully the all love him and perhaps he will meet up with the googler in the mountains. lol

So sorry I've missed most of this when it was so much an important part of you. You're doing better though I think from your other posts. I think folks who think a horse's big reaction is funny are a special breed, never been me. I guess when a person believes themselves to be safe overall is part of it. Anyway, I'm glad things are working out.

I remember when mom showed me this video last year. I just rewatched it about 20 times trying to catch his mood change. He's the kind of horse I'd have loved to get on a broke that habit. He had your number that's for sure. I don't think the stirrup drop spooked him, he just doesn't like it but rather than a tail flick or head toss to tell you so he dumped you and buggered off. Fox tried to buck me once, but I don't have the nickname Velcro butt out at the barn for nothing and in failing to dump me she got her behind whooped and has yet to try bucking since. Prince gets a kick out of bucking when I ride him bareback. He's kind of a little dink with me, but he would never do it to mom. Horses have attitudes that's for sure and Isis was a prime example. At least he's doing alright in his new home, any news on how the guy did shooting off him?

Yes, it was a bad one, caught me off guard, I had no reins which didnt help as I was not expecting it atall, he has bucked his new owner off a few times when she did the same thing to "fix" it, he always did react to the stirrups banging him when doing groundwork, if I crossed them over the saddle and one came loose and flipped back over against his side he would bolt on the lunge, its odd as hes not spooky on the trail atall.
No, I havent heard yet, Ill be talking to Cheryl soon as she borrowed a saddle to try on her horses, I just know he came back in one piece and they were pretty happy with him, hopefuly they worked on the stirrup thing, so stupid.
