Ugh! Cat pee everywhere does not sound fun at all. I think I'd probably chance the procedure if I were in your shoes, too. Good luck! I sure hope everything works out for you.

I took him to the kennel earlier to get him out of the house, maybe I can nip it in the bud, I might run him in tomorrow then they can operate Friday if they have time, everywhere is dead quiet right now so I'm sure they will be able to.
Luckily hubby hasn't noticed anything, I told him about him peeing on the dogs bed which I've thrown out and that he's at kennels till I can get an apt for surgery:)....I put a ton of carpet powder stuff down and vacuumed it up, place smells fresh, for now lol!

The carpet smelled fresh in our house when we moved in, but soon the urine odor began to start. The former owners had a dog. A very naughty dog. It was bad. I shampooed the carpet, but the smell and a dark stain came back again. So I got some carpet shampoo especially made for pet odors. It finally worked. It said it was an enzyme cleaner. I don't remember the whole name, but cleaners made to remove pet stains and odors, do work. I hope you can get Rambo fixed. He is such a cute little guy.

So he gets them off and out Wednesday, vet says his murmour is much better, not gone but just very slight now, no long whooshing noises like before, he is going to give him a reversible anaesthetic just incase but ssys he's not that worried so I shouldn't be either:)

Yea!!! You know, when Morris was 6 months old, he was beginning to have an odor. A very stinky odor. In fact I was going to post a question on here, and ask if it was maybe because of the fact, that I hadn't gotten him neutered yet. Well, I felt dumb, and didn't ask, but since he has had his surgery, he isn't a stinky kitty anymore.
I hope Rambo, and your carpet smell better, real soon.

Sierra was about 2 when she was diagnosed with a slight murmur. Vet said we could put her on some meds. I asked and was told we could wait and see how she did, I so hate getting started on meds and run the risk of side effects. She'll be 12 this year. I share this to let you know how well it can turn out. Now that his murmur is not nearly as severe anyway! He's already done so well, I bet he turns out just like my Sissy (Sierra).

Worried, vet hasn't called, I think that's bad as I know they should be done by now, I told her this morning regardless of when he's ready I can't pick him up till 3:30pm but she said she would call when he was done Prob between 12-1pm :(

Maybe they just got a late start. Why not call and see what's going on? I'm sure they won't mind.

I am sure he is fine and they are just busy. perhaps give them a call. if anything were bad they would have called you right? and diamondgirl NO question is dumb. if a person needs to ask something than someone will be glad to give an answer. so go on and ask what ever you need to have answered.

I wouldn't worry too much, usually when emergencies happen or things don't go well you get a call right away. A vet clinic is a super fast pace environment so sometimes phone calls slide between the cracks. Him being there till 3:30 probably isn't a bad thing either, gives Rambo time to recover in a kennel and have the staff check up on him a couple times before coming home too.
Let us know when you get some news!

So I just picked him up, he's fine, same can't be said for the vet tech, he got really upset at being there and bit her real bad, she had to go to medicentre, it's not like him so I hope it was just a one off, it was before his op, he did give the vet a few scares, even after surgery they were worried about him as he kept screaming and acting stupid thrashing around, he did it a little when I picked him up but as soon as he got in the car and I put the music on he relaxed:)
Wasn't cheap, cost almost $400!

Yea I don't blame him for acting up. There's a lot he has to go through before surgery like getting a catheter put in and ect that can be very stressful on a cat (or any animal for that matter!). The tech should have used a better approach with him because he probably gave her some good warnings

I was at the vet the other day. I got delayed when a woman came in with a puppy that had been caught chewing on a bar of rat poison. I'm sure the puppy will be fine, he looked alert and when the vet induced vomiting there were solid chunks (hopefully no digesting done yet). When I left the owner was trying to get her landlord, on the phone, to find out the kind of poison.

Glad to hear Rambo came through the surgery fine and is back home with you now where he can rest and recover in familiar surroundings. I'm sure it was stressful for him, but in the long run I think he'll be much better off and much happier now that he's been neutered. Please give that handsome little guy a smooch for me.
