Oh, the twists and turns. If they get on the road as hoped and the trip goes well, they could be in Tulsa between 2-3pm. If I time it right and don't piddle around I have a chance of making it home before dark. Of course we know about those "best laid plans.." The twist is that I lost my copilot. Sunday was great, Saturday is middle son's birthday. I thought it was going to be a solo trip when I first started, this just puts me back to where I was. Oh, well. Tomorrow at this time I could be heading home from Tulsa, with the important passenger!

You do not travel alone.... we are all their with you in spirit! You travel with a guardian angel every step of the way....
Safe travels and hand the camera to someone and ask them to take pictures...lots of them! ....soon, very soon!

You are not alone, you have us to keep you company and if you have to put your trailer in a parking lot with lots of lights. like a walmart lot or restaurant and rest. do not unload the horse, just let her rest her legs and you rest your eyes and body from the trip. and eat. and drink if you must use restroom. lock truck and trailer and perhaps have a person keep an eye on it for you. drive safe and it is exciting that Belle will be with you . makes me all soft and fuzzy. 757724

The BIG trip is done. But, that will have been VERY long. How long should I let her stretch out before starting our part?

depends where you are doing the change from her first trailer ride to yours. if possible i would let her rest for a couple of hours. to make sure she has water and hay. do not give grain. or snacks. only hay and perhaps a shot of electrolytes .
i personally would have stayed over night and drive in the am. but if that is not possible than for a 3 hour ride. stop mid way or at least two times and rest for 1/2 hour. that at least gives you a chance to stretch an make a pit stop.
if you need to stop for longer than do not off load. leave her on the trailer. and offer water and hay only. and allow her to put her head down if she is tied with her head up.
happy days and many smiles are coming your way after this, so enjoy and do not stress.

If you haven't left yet... plan on arriving an hour ahead of them in case they are early. That will also allow you time to rest..... I am also for you....
SHE IS COMING HOME!!!

I just came on to check and see if there's an update. I think we're a couple of hours behind but I guess the last thing she's thinking about if she's home is getting on the computer. I'll keep watching, though!
