Not sure about the grill work but I wonder if you could advertise the gates as stall or fence gates? The grill work is really nice, its about 3-1/2 ft tall with 'channels' that slide on top of 2x10's for the long sides, and the gates are 4-5 ft tall, with pin and lock closures that bolt to /attach to posts. Someone could easily make a hay feeder with this hardware. I just don't need a hay feeder, I needed shade and shelter. It would actually best used as its been used, but someone could reconfigure for their needs too. Its just perfect for remaking a hay feeder.

Are those grills like the kind used for stall dividers? Heavy metal, steel....
If so, they are worth $$...new "grills" cost hundreds... Don't sell them so cheaply...
Look around online and truly see what you have, then price adn sell at a reasonable price.
I would say if these are stall divider grills you should be looking at $50 a piece for the big ones and $35 for the smaller ones minimum! jmo....

No, these are not 'as' heavy duty as stall fronts, but they are built/designed for livestock. If you click on the photos, you can see the grills/hardware. Someone could easily build a covered feeder with salt treat boards (10 ft long x 6 ft wide x 4-5 ft high) and a ply wood cover. The dimensions of the grills for the long sides are actually 3 1/2 - 4 ft tall (bc they are sitting on 3- 2x6x10 boards), and 10 ft long. The gates are 4-5 ft tall, 6 ft wide. They are designed so that livestock can put their heads thru to eat the round bales. I wasn't sure what to ask,.., of course its negotiable. I think someone would definitely buy them.

Another 'work in progress',.., Took the hardware and grills off the hay feeder, and started the 'reconstruction'. I came up short by a few boards, but will pick those up tomorrow. Then hubby decided we should paint it cream colored to match the barn, and paint the metal roof green. At this rate, I probably should have just bought an 'already built' run in shed Pics coming in the next post.

I was wondering what Zippy thought about it. I guess that answers my question. He looks happy.

I love it!!! That looks great, and it looks like Zippy approves! blue ribbon Thanks Terry and DG !! We're not done yet,., more boards to go up,., And I have a feeling that I'll either be painting, or replacing that roof soon. I have to wait a few months to paint, or stain the walls, but at least Zippy has a place to get in out of the weather
LOL, and I would not have been too happy if he refused go in it after all this

Oh Red, I am really laughing right now thinking about how many times I have worked and worked to try to make my fur babies lives more comfortable, only to have the whole project ignored. Humbling, isn't it.

Just wanted to say that we had some real nasty weather yesterday, driving rain, wind, chilly, just a cold, wet November day here on the mid Atlantic (coastal low pressure) AND Zippy was using his run in shed like a PRO!!
It isn't 'finished' by any means, but the boards are up high enough to be a great wind break, as well, the roof kept him nice and dry,.., Soooo no more rain sheets, turn outs, or blankets if I don't want to.
I don't mind using all of the above, bc I certainly have them,.., but when hubby has to feed at night, he has to take them off, and that just becomes so much more time consuming. As well, its time consuming in the mornings for me, and its a hassle if the weather changes, etc.
So happy to have a functional, affordable shelter for shade and foul weather. Will get some current pics today,.., still need to paint, but I need to wait approximately 6 months on the salt treat for that. Also am considering painting the metal roof, or pricing out a new green metal roof. A work progress, but totally usable NOW. YAY!
PS. Sold all the grill work for $100 and they came to get it. So that paid my guy who reconfigured the construction for me.
