Hi everyone!!! So it's been a while since I've been on, working full time is really great but definitely leaving me with less time!
Anyways, just a quick update.. I've been continuing my lessons every week as usual. Not too long ago my coach offered me to show my lesson horse since one of the young ladies who showed Zoe last summer decided to not show this year. So I talked things over with the hubby and I get to show Zoe this season!!! I am BEYOND excited! I will be showing her in the 2'6 devision which is also supper exciting.
I'm starting to get the show jitters now, our first show of the season is this Sunday (I will make sure someone will take pictures!!). So I have my usual lesson tomorrow morning, then I'm hoping to fit an extra one in this Friday to get my nerves under control. I'm kinda happy I'm showing miss schoolie so I can get my jitters under control before I decide to show Sheldon. Anyways, I'm jumping up an down inside. LOL the next few days will be exhausting. Because I work afternoons (3-11) I have to fit in my lesson before work. It's been working out well but by Friday I think I'll be pooched. It will all be worth it though!

How exciting. as was stated already try to stay calm. and breath. oh and smile. and do not look at the people just look over your horses ears and make believe you are taking a lesson. that always worked for me and my students.

OK finally have the chance to fill you guys in on how everything went. All and all I am SUPER proud, Zoe was absolutely amazing and I feel as if we did really well! So we did a total of 5 classes in the intermediate devision; fences set at 2'6. I have a ton of pictures so be prepared to be overloaded!!!! I tasked one of the girls to take pictures for me and they got one of every jump we did! The flat classes they took videos but I'm not sure If I'll be able to load them as they are pretty long. Ok so hunter #1 over fences; we got 4th place We approached this one of the wrong lead, luckily others did too last jump of the outside line oxer final line I definitely jumped up her neck here!

Y'all look great!!! And congrats to both of you on your placings. It looks like a nice venue.
Is Zoe a kicker? I see the red ribbon in her tail. I always had to put a yellow ribbon in Mister's tail since he was a stallion and so many people didn't know what it meant. A few smart ones asked. I heard one "instructor" telling her students it meant he kicked...I set her straight. (oops, sorry for the tangent).

Oh ya she's a kicker!!! She's Very cranky when it comes to other horses coming near her under saddle. She does it at home too. She needs like a 10m circle of empty space around her at all times otherwise she's cranky and she WILL strike. While waiting I put her far away from the other horses and someone decided to come close with their horse. Ya Zoe had a fit and no one came near her after that! I'm happy the flat class wasn't big because she can be nasty that way. Luckily she didn't have any fits with other horses during our flat classes but I think everyone seen her fit outside the ring and respected our space

Nice photos. Congratulations on a great day of fun!! Zoe has a lot of scope to play with for you. Love how she squares those knees, no hanging hoof with her!! You might only be starting to entice her to reach and stretch that body of hers.... I see 2'9" and 3'0" not to far off....

Impressive - first of all I am going to chalk up having to learn jump courses as another reason why I am not a jumper! Congrats - you look fabulous. And Zoe is a looker!

What a great fun and rewarding day you all had. and the photos are great. i hated to memorize jumps course but i learned to walk them a dozen times before each class. i used the excuse i was counting strides between the jumps. (i could never figure that one out as a novice /beginner)..
