hubby says I'm weird as I have no problem eating leftovers for breakfast, example, chicken curry, it doesn't bother me atall, I try to have a big breakfast and lunch as it keeps me going, I eat a small supper if any atall, he says it turns his stomach at the thought of it, foods food isn't it?
anyway just wondered if anyone else had no problem eating a supper type meal for breakfast or if I am truly an oddity!

Well if that makes you weird than I am weird too. Sometimes it's just easier to heat something up than to actually make breakfast. And food is food right? Does he have a problem eating breakfast for dinner? That's nice sometimes too when I'm not real hungry - just an egg and some toast for dinner.

Me too! Sometimes I'll just have beans on toast and he gets all freaky as I am not having meat of some type, he's very fixed in a lot of ways, an interior designer I had here once looking at my windows asked if he was in the military as he has everything in its place, furniture all in straight lines lol!
Glad I'm not the only 'weird' one!

Sounds more to me he has a food hangup.
Do you realize how many eat cold pizza for breakfast...for goodness sake look what is "breakfast" prepackaged/made foods in the food stores... Normally eat toast, cereal, bagels, cooked hot cereal or pancakes, french toast and such for breakfast in my house when I really cook on weekends... Not uncommon though for us to have scrambled eggs and potatoes, breakfast sausage and toast or pancakes/waffles for supper either.
As long as what you eat is balanced at some point in the day by other food groups as our bodies need....who cares what you eat at what time of the day!!
I've been known to eat spicy homemade chili for breakfast...if it appeals and fills your belly full... why not? Go For It...

Me too. Usually I have an egg white mixed with whatever dinner or veggie I have leftover from the night before. Not a dinner portion of course. Yeah, hl4l, I don't like processed things either. smileys-home-243828

To be honest - I very rarely eat breakfast type foods as I have a strange aversion to eggs. So if I do eat breakfast it is usually left overs - anything and everything out of the fridge I consider breakfast food! Not odd - but he sounds very much like my hubby - if it ain't his way it must be wrong!
Eat what you want - and if he doesn't like it he doesn't have to eat it.

First thing I do when I wake up is eat. I love eags, vegies, cereal, fruit... And it has to be big, because specialy in this winter time I do everyting in the morning around horses so I have to be full until luch. I eat also leftovers if there is something left. Nothing wrong with that, if it is eatable. I am a big eater. I can eat any time of a day. And I will not sleep if I dont eat good before bed. Bad I know, but just cant sleep.

Apparently that's how your body should work and if you think about it what you're doing is healthier. You have a large meal in the morning to start you day, gives you all your nutrition and calories to keep you going through the day and by having a lighter supper you're not taking in all those extra calories before winding down in the evening. Sure not many people do it, but we probably should!

I wonder who decided what foods should be called breakfast foods, and dictated the time that they should be served.
It was probably a man.
I don't care. Food is food, and good food, is good food, no matter what time of the day it is.
LD just tell your husband that when he is eating breakfast, someone else, in another time zone, is eating their supper, and they might be open minded enough to be having sausage and pancakes.
Mmmmm, sausage and pancakes. Good food any time of the day.

Perhaps you should have him read this thread. I usually have breakfast for breakfast, but have had pizza, spaghetti, veggies, etc. I love having breakfast for dinner. Ever notice how many places serve breakfast all day?
