I can't say as though I've ever heard of the term "chipped beef"

Chipped beef? Oh man, my daddy used to make that for me when I was a little girl, gosh it was SO GOOD! ;) I don't like breakfast, greasy sausage and eggs, ICK, cold cereal or even warm doesn't even get me to 9AM. But if I made a good lunch or dinner, YUM! Nothing is better for breakfast than supper leftovers P-)
I like waffles but not pancakes. I can't stand omelets, something about how the texture of the egg part, like the insides but not the egg.

Some make it with breakfast sausage and that to me is a dinner thing. and i make it with ground beef. just saute until brown and pour off grease. add flour and stir and than add milk until a nice gravy forms not too think and not too thin. salt. pepper and over anything that will hold the gravy and meat.

My daddy made it with dried beef, not beef jerky but this crumbly like stuff. I dunno, its been 50 years so its not like I know the recipe. He's also wake me up Sunday mornings for what I thought were bacon-powder biscuits, which of course were baking powder biscuits. And he'd fry the eggs in bacon grease, which I thought was icky then and wouldn't even consider now but I loved my daddy and it was our special time together ::)

hubby says I'm weird as I have no problem eating leftovers for breakfast, example, chicken curry, it doesn't bother me atall, I try to have a big breakfast and lunch as it keeps me going, I eat a small supper if any atall, he says it turns his stomach at the thought of it, foods food isn't it? anyway just wondered if anyone else had no problem eating a supper type meal for breakfast or if I am truly an oddity! Well? Did you get your answer if you're weird or not?

I think I am in a lot of ways but regarding the food thing NO, I think hes weird as it seems many people eat leftovers in the morning, this morning Im having some scotch broth I made last night!

If you're weird, then weird is good. What is in scotch broth? Anything in your fridge! I used leek, onion, tatties, bacon, carrots, then pearl barley and split peas, traditional recipes also use cabbage, anything goes really!.....makes you fart like a trucker though!
