I so regret my dad selling him. But we can't keep them all. He reminde me much of my stallion(his dad) all his sons are so alike him. He is in a good home, with a good girl, that is taking care of him. Be well my Aramis, pretty boy :-)

He is. And I talk to the girl regulary. When I get back home I have to spend one of my days to go visit all of my horses that are sold close by.

Aramis is the horse on the picture that we just talked about. You meant Athos?!

Athos is sold together with Viktor. Last time i hurd they were doing great too. They have a big big pasture and the family that bought them have children who love to groom and give them treats. They dont know how to ride so they will be spoiled pets :-)

It is always sad to see our babies be sold when they are yearlings. but the fact that they are well and happy makes the pain just a little easier to deal with. you have raised some amazing horses with your mares and stallions. your family should be proud of the great lipizzans you have created.

I am proud, but it is just not my way. I dont like horses being raised to be sold. I will never sell my horses. They are my friends and you would not sell your friend right?

No I wouldn't sell my friends but there are really good people out there that could love your horses as well as you do. You and therefore I imagine your dad are good judges of character. Perhaps that is where you earned your savvy? Sometimes we learn from our parents by example and it kind of just rubs off without us being aware of it because it is just how it is. I make friends out of our chickens and our cattle, the females which we keep and even the males which we eat. It's not easy but we make their lives as good as possible and their death as easy on them as possible. We like them, we respect them and I think that's pretty good. But thinking of Lipizzans as pets sounds so funny to me because they are such an expensive and royal breed. But you know the horses probably like it very much!
Hopefully this post makes sense, its 2:21AM, I'm wide awake after driving literally all day and drinking coffee and orange juice LOL

It is funny how you say Lipizzan breed is expensive and royal breed. It is so common among us. Royal it is but expensive here not so much anymore.
