I don't think it's quite that much Lip, I got a price for 3 that was $10,000 the secret is fitting in with other people's schedules to save cash as they ship them in contained units of 3 in the hold, there's a forum somewhere you can out your name on, I forget where though

I read that quarantine is the thing that cost the most. I only know that it would be a big deal for me to shipp a horse. We only have maybe few airports in country and I don't think they shipp horses, I would had to take him to another country.

It would be an investment that's for sure.. Too bad Lipizzaner's aren't known as jumpers, would be an investment that's for sure... Who knows maybe in 10 years I'll be asking you to send me one... as specially with all your post.... *drool* Soooo pretty.... wouldn't that be a statement, owning a Lipizzan in this area... would definitely make some heads turn thats for sure

He is sold to a very good family who will take a good care of him. Very sad he is leaving but they will have more time for him since he will be their second horse. He deserves a full atteontion.

They are going tomorrow morning. All 3 of them. I will dig up some pictures. I decided not to be there when they live. To hard to watch. Since they are going pretty far they will be greatly missed but I know it is better for them. At least Athos and Viktor are going together in a same home.

I understand about not wanting to be there when they leave. I'm happy to hear the boys will be together though.

I thought I posted, but there it wasn't there, so sorry it this comes out twice. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am, and that I know how much you love your horses. This must be very hard for you.

Sorry to hear your horses are leaving, but glad to know they go to good homes with caring new owners.
Now being owned by homes with fewer horses they will have more attention devoted to just them...something each deserves as they are so special. A chance to excel and be another great champion producer and a positive influence of the breed in general.
It hurts your heart I know....but think of the fact without your love, commitment to teaching the boys they would not have had this opportunity to grow and represent their breed so well.... a tribute to you who so loves them. This will also allow you to concentrate on those who still are home... to spend your precious time and more of it with each one.

H4l that is exactly what I say to my self too. At least I could concentrate more on the ones that stay. And the ones that goes will have atteontion they need from owners who will have time for them.

Athos and Viktor both being sold. so sad, but you can just keep so many and especially boys. thankfully they are going to the same home and please get some photos before they leave. and at least kiss them goodbye. even if it is the day before. i am sure you and your dad made a great decision as to who is going to get them.

I know that you are heartbroken and I'm so very sorry that its such a difficult thing for you.
Perhaps if you were part of the decision then you could have readied yourself. But like you said, you can console yourself that they are going to good homes. And perhaps you can think on how much love they'll get from their new family.
I think I know you well enough to believe that if you think about it, you'll be consoled and even proud that you raised and trained those spectacular Lipizzan horses who will be like diplomats not only for the breed but for respectful horsemanship. A person can learn a lot about horsemanship when they pay attention to their horse. Maybe that's where the term horsemanship comes from?
You ought to be proud that you have the kind of horses that other people want

It was not my decision to sell them, but I was not letting them go to nothing but the best homes. I am sorry that they are leaving but one day I will have my own barns and horses and I will never be selling my horses. I hate my father sometimes, he makes so many mistakes. They are gone, I was sleeping, I said my goodbyes last night. I can't stand watching them go, and never again to touch them. The thing that hurts the most is that I have no control over their lifes, and that is scary.

I too have had to sell horses that i did not want to sell and not know their future. even now as a person who has a farm and owns the land i feel the horses are better in the hands of someone who has loads of time and will give them the best life. we can not control everything. i wish i could. Sending you .

I know Jo. To be honest he would not have to sell our horses if he wasn't breeding our mares. He say he loves our horses yet he breeds our mares to sell a foal. I hate that. I get so attached to every single one of them and then watch them go is like putting a roap around my neck. My father and I are two diferent persons. Two diferent world. Right now I don't like him that much.

I understand where you are coming from. so he is doing this as a business, with your heart not being considered. yet he is and always do this. at least he and you are making sure the horses are going to nice homes. and perhaps one day he will no longer do this.
