My dad is selling my colt Aramis(registered name: Conversano Gaetana) because money is tight and he is one of 6 stallions we have soooo.....hmm right. He is pure Lipizzan of course, registered, 1 year and 9 months old, 1,47 m high. Very good personality and pedigree. My asking price is 950 USD. Sorry he is so dirty, mud outside is unbelievable. And please be honest.

Oh, if only. It would be so amazing to wake up on Christmas morning, and find Aramis in my pasture. He is beautiful. I hope you find a very kind and loving new owner for him.

My heart breaks for you Lip.
Anyone who would come forth to own Aramis will give him a loving home and care. He is a fine young horse, with great breeding and characteristics to carry forth in generations to come.
He has had a great beginning with you as his owner and now will continue on, making you proud of him.... Aramis knows your love.......
Find some peace Lip that Aramis will find a loving family and hopefully they will keep in touch for some time to come with all that is being accomplished....
.....it will be OK, it will.

He will go in a good home. No horse of mine has ever gone somewhere not checked. I like him a lot. But me and my dad are not good so he is not asking me about my oponion. In a year or two I will move to my boyfriends and bring my mare with me. My dad and I had never get along about horses, how to work with them or take care of them. I will take much better care of my horses once I have my own place.

Oh Lip, I am so sorry for you, that you have to be in this situation, but I am also sorry for your Dad.
It's sad that he will never be able to understand the ultimate joy of earning the respect and friendship, of one of the most magnificent of Gods creatures. If he could only look at your beautiful horses, through your eyes for only a moment, he could learn so much. Horses are so much more than transportation, or just a beautiful object to be shown off. They are amazing, beautiful, wonderful, beings. They have courage, and heart. They have spirit, and minds. You don't just sit atop a horse, but you become one, with all that he is.
I think it is very sad, for people who don't understand that. They are missing out of some of the very best feelings in life.
Sometimes, I just want to grab you up and give you a great big hug. I guess a cyber smileys-embrace-hug-902607will have to do.

I would like a hug. Trust me. My dad is not only one. Many people here are like that. I am more about connection with a horse, horse is first my friend, and I would not do something that they dont enjoy too. I cant wait to have my own stable and to take care for my horses alone in my own way.

Sorry you are going thru all this heartache and you must sell Aramis. but again what does someone do with all those stallions ?? do you think someone will be interested in him for his bloodlines?. If you want to advertise with a photo i think moving him to a grassy area with perhaps someone holding him would be better. and not knowing what the prices are in your area of the country I can not make a determination of price.
He is young and i know you will make sure he is going to a great home. wonder how much it costs to ship to the united states. ??

I'm so sorry but hopefully he will go to a home nearby and you will get to see him at the play days your family puts on and goes to so you will get to see him often.

We have six stallions, one is 10 yr, second is 7, third is 5, two foals, and Aramis. First three are good riding and driving horses, so we never consider castration, because there is no need. I will clean him up and go to the grass to take a better picture. I would consider shipping but I dont know how that goes. We have 9 horses in total now. My dad is like a horder. I always wanted two horses. This is just too much. But again, my opinion does not count.

I find somewhat of an understanding of your position. It is natural to think of how sad it is to sell a livestock pet and as with all livestock each one is so very expensive. Like you said you always find good new owners, so if it were me I'd concentrate on that. Aramis could go on to build his own family with his new family. I've had to send our cattle for slaughter, sold to others and such and they were all pets of mine too. Not perhaps as close as a horse but there is love none the less. I can't afford to keep them all nor is that a very good business plan!
I used to think my dad was "cold" but men sometimes come off that way in order to do what breaks their heart. Over the 15 yrs Gerald and I have been together I've seen him get brave enough to show his vulnerability. Of course I have a different relationship with Gerald than you do with your dad and I did with mine. But when my dad was reaching the end of his life he told me that I was a gift because he felt that he could be himself with me. You can't ask for more than that. Sure it hurt me but it was also good for me to learn that others can seem to be so very different than they truly feel and its okay. It has to be okay because I want to be who I am too.
When you clean Aramis up and get pictures of him looking his best, particularly showing his sweet nature and how well trained he is at a young age, cleaning his feet, etc., you are doing the best thing there is to find a good family for him. You are taking the best care of his future that you possibly can. Its an honor to be so important to a horse, he won't recognize it but he will for certain appreciate it.
Good luck to you and Aramis!

Unfortunately he is going way under the price, because horse prices went very low this year. I only know that when I got my own place and when I become owner of my horses, I would never sell any of my horses, because my opinion is, if you consider a horse a part of your family there is not a single reason that will make me sell my friend. Friend is not for sail.

He is going to be sold only in good hands, but he is going very under price, 950 USD, I had few interested people but they did not seem as a good new future owners. I know no matter what my dad would not sell him to meat buyer or something like that. He is still a Lipizzaner, no matter it is the most common breed here but still those are wonderful horses.

Sometimes we sell real cheap knowing they are going to a great home. I sold an arabian mare that was awesome and this little girl shows up with her father and she fell in love. 25 years later that little girl is giving riding lessons on that mare. so hopefully he will be loved and taken care of the same way and yes lippizzaners are special .as they all are.

If I were richer I would seriously think of shipping him here! I don't think you can buy a Lipizzaner in the US for less than $5000.
