English Setters are actually known for being such a loving dog. Mica loves attention. She would follow me around al day if she could. When I pet her she chatters her teeth together, so she sounds like she is purring. I love it. I understand that they are great hunting dogs. It is because they want attention and will preform well to get it. I think it is so sad, that so many of them only get the love they crave, when they are taken hunting, then they are left alone when the season is over.

Yeah, we treat our Coda like that too. Simply ignore him Last weekend we let the cats in the house to live for the winter and Kittyhawk had the audacity to come up into bed between Gerald and I when she should KNOW that its Coda's place. He jumped up and basically laid on top of her. She didn't even mind until he laid his head over hers, poor little squished kitty. We made Coda move over. Then later in the day when we were watching TV, Coda wanted attention so he jumped up on the sofa and STARED at me, daring me not to pet him. Well, what's a person to do? First I laughed of course, then I paid him his dues, after all, everything IS all about him!

Hugs, it sounds like you have your household all sorted out properly. Dogs, and cats first, people second. I guess it's a good thing we can't keep out horses in our houses, because you know what kind of trouble we cause, when we let them have the upper hand.

Ha ha ha, horses in the house, ordering us around. I can just see it now. We'd have to pay for extra cable channels so we get RFD and that TVland for Mr. Ed reruns... what else?

Diamond - super cute! What lovely pets you have.
Its funny how animals love to have their little spots.
Fuzzles (cat) has annexed our new couch and chair for his personal use, as well as the top left corner of the love seat. He is quite offended when you attempt to move him. Heaven forbid a person sit there!
He has also claimed quite a large portion of the bed as well. Despite the fact he has no less than three of his own.
We all know who rules the roost in our house.

LOL, I especially like the one in the background saying "Is she coming out?"
