I think we made it to the finals! Right before the voting closed SAFE Team was in the last qualifying spot, so unless someone else had a mad rush of votes at the end, they should be in to the finals! Every finalist receives $5000, so even if they don't win the grand prize it's still a big chunk of change for them! Official results will be on Friday, so stay tuned. And thank you again to everyone for voting and supporting SAFE Team!

SAFE Team made it to the finals! Now to wait until January 27 to see how much the judges award them. At the very least, they get $5000 which will help a lot of cats! Hooray!

George met Santa today!! He was so brave. They were being done at the Edmonton Humane Society, and there were so many people there. Lots of dogs barking, but George walked right out of the carrier without a second thought! He's so brave!

What a great picture!!!! Good for George for telling Santa that he doesn't want anything for Christmas - he already has everything thanks to SAFE and SL!

So...George has passed the 5000 page likes on Facebook. He's got likes from people all over the world - the UK, France, South Africa, Australia, Malaysia. It's freaking crazy! LOL About 10 people sent him Christmas cards, and 2 people sent package full of toys and treats! Cat people are freaking mental!

Way to go George. His life may have been hard, but he is making up for lost time, with the time he has left, and making the world a better place, for those lucky enough to know him, and his story.

It's George's 4 month post surgery anniversary! According to what the vets said after the surgery, he shouldn't be here, or at the very least, we should see some sign of the cancer growing back, but nothing! He's turning into a little miracle kitty!

My eyes fill with tears of joy, I come here to say how much love I feel coming from everyone, for George. I wish I could find the words that fit, but there are none that can come close. Miracle and Angels, those two are as close as it gets. cat

He made it through surgery with flying colours! They got about 95% of the tumor in his neck but the rest had too many blood vessels attached to get out. They left the one in his shoulder as they were worried about damaging a nerve and potentially paralyzing his leg. But that tumour is smaller and should shrink with chemo. He has staples in his neck, so they need to come out in 10-14 days. We're probably going to wait for him to heal up before starting the chemo, just to give him a chance to heal up properly. But he's home and doing great!
