Hi everyone,
A few years back I had heard that dogs always face North when they poop. So I did my own informal study, and every morning I would walk the dog to his spot, and sure as hell he would face North, at least I would say 90% of the time. We went on in my family to have a great debate over whether this was chance or not.
Well, today I saw that there was actually a study done on this important subject. It turns out that they actually face toward magnetic North, along the North/South axis. Victory is mine! I am vindicated!
Also in another article they say cows graze in the same magnetic North direction, I'll have to pay attention to the farm cows down the road. Who knows, maybe horses too?

There is a very large solar flare that is supposedly hitting the earth this week that may make the magnetic field unstable, which would make the dogs not face any particular direction, however let's see what your pups do.
