There are a few around our area but not very many. I think they're more common in the states. I love the different colours they come in and it makes me wonder why they have such cool colours when other breeds don't. I'd love to try one and see what their gait is like, too.

They are stunning, I lovee their color. It is different, and for me different is always a good thing.

They come in colours you usually only see in ponies. The colours even have interesting names like chocolate.

I love, love, love, the color on the second picture. Starting this breeds of horses section might not be good for me. I keep seeing all these beautiful horses, and I just want more.

The are beautiful. someone i had work for me stopped by a couple of weeks ago and she said she is starting to raise rocky mountains. she bought 4 foals from out mid west and had them shipped here . they were a small fortune. but she is keeping one a stallion and gelding the other 3 and she also might be cross breeding them with arabians or tb. i told her to just get a couple of mares and keep them pure not to dilute the gene pool and wind up with the possibility of not having a high stepper or one with the famous color.
I see them at the equine affair at the breed presentations. and they are stunning. small but strong.
