These horse are also found in our area. People breed quarter horses to Andalusions and call them Aztecas. I'm not sure that the ones I see around our area are registerable but they are pretty. And expensive.

I herd about them. Although I am not fan of mixing horses so much, and then calling them a "breed". Then we could mix every breed there is and call them something else.

I completely agree with you. I posted something about that on the other forum earlier today. On the one hand there are plenty of registered quarter horse with thoroughbred blood but they're registered under an existing registry, not a new made up one. On the other hand I'm really against crossing two very different breeds like a gaited horse with one that isn't or has a different gait. I think these horses are cool, though, and I like the name Azteca. They do have a registry but I don't know if the ones around here are registered.
