This breed is getting popular around our area. My friend used to be very involved in working cow horse and had seriously thought of getting one. Now she's completely out of horses but that's another story. Apparently they're versatile and do all kinds of things.

That's interesting NHG. They must be getting shipped to your area right? Or do you have breeders there now?

They are several breeders breeding them. The population of them is growing quite quickly. They must have been imported but I can't imagine how hard that would be. They seem to sell for about the same as any other uncommon sought after breed around here such as Gypsy Vanners and Friesens. The young ones sell for over $4000.

They look pretty much like our "appendix" horses....cross of Thoroughbred and Quarter... A nice mix of stamina, size, bone, mind and agility. They sure sound like nice horses....first time I have ever heard of them. I have no idea of any exist anywhere near me..investigating I will be doing. Thanks for letting us know about these beauties!!

They don't look much like the "Brumby" horses in the Man from Snowy River. Much more warmblood-ish to me.

He's pretty big boned and solid. They're supposed to be only about 14.3 to 15.1 so they're not very big.
