A friend of mine found this on fb not too long ago. It really bothered me. Sad part the girl who owns the yearling is proud... Those poor joints

Okay, I don't know much of anything about horses jumping over stuff, except I like to say the word, "cavaletti" and I strongly believe that they ought jump over and not into. It looks to me like the horse takes voice commands, isn't that good? What are you seeing that I'm not?

yea, it's not common practice around here to lunge yearlings over jumps. I've always been told no jumping until they are 4 or their knees are locked otherwise the pressure of them landing on their joints can cause long term complications. My friends horse was jumped as a two year old and has splint injuries in his front as a result

Oh no... Way too young and the poor little thing is totally overjumping the one jump. I'd hate to buy it and find out it's arthritic when it's ten years old.

Idiots, I also hate when I see people doing it with foals, what's worse is it's usually high end places doing that which worries me more, ok they are maybe just doing it once for those shots but still it's so dangerous:(

Duble idiots, that young horse should not be even wearing saddle on him, he should be enjoing his childhood, running around, be happy.... and a bit , on a yearling?? really??? I thought only in my country there are idiots like this. Can't belive what those people are thinking about!!

ok they are maybe just doing it once for those shirts but still it's so dangerous:( Sadly, this happens more then once... she's posted new photo's of him jumping at least 2 or 3 times
