How exciting for the small town near me to finally have Hannaford's open. after not having a supermarket near me for over a year. and having to drive 25 minutes to either walley world and price chopper, today was the BIG DAY. i wanted to be there for the opening at 7 am and could not drag by tired old bones out of bed at 6 so i went with my helper in the afternoon to view and pick up a few things. WELL it was like going into a foreign country, i looked around and was in awe of all the fruit veggies. cheese display and the pastry and deli, and the meats i have not seen in ages. in cuts that i am used to buying when i lived in Westchester, or near the city of new york. YUP so now we are leggit,. with a real store. cool

So, what is on the menu.... my house it would still be hamburgers..they would eat them 6 days a week with spaghetti on the seventh ...boring! Sounds a whole lot better than Aldis and how they got sold out from their suppliers... buyer beware but do enjoy those "new store" specials.

Hamburgers last night as i was soooo tired i just did not feel like cooking and chicken breasts tonight. I am not one to be fancy but when deciding to make steak strips with veggies who wants to walk BACK to the veggie aisle for the veggies. hannafords has them all cut up and ready to go with the sauce that is needed in it. sure i will pay but who cares. and the pastries looked yummy and the custom meat counter butcher will custom cut what i need. yay for fillet of lamb leg. will stock my pantry this week with the goodies. coffee
