So Isis has these shoes on now www.eponashoe.com/products/EponaShoe.htmlHe appears to really like them, he was easier to shoe too, the farrier said she's finding they stay on longer and horses that where difficult with steel on their second shoeing with the rubber they don't move, not sure if it's the fact there's less noise or that these are comfier. When you watch the horse moving in them it looks like they would catch them easy and they move quite a lot on the feet, you have to leave space at the front so the toe can expand in to it as they move, I'll take some pics of Isis feet later, so far touch wood he hasn't pulled one and I know they were all in the marsh yesterday as they were black up to their elbows!

Those sound really neat. I hope they work for Isis. Can you reset them? Do you have to reset/reshod on the same schedule as if it were a metal shoe?
Can't wait to see them on Isis.

It looks good for natural surfaces(dirt, grass, sand...). How is it on asphalt, I guess it would wear out soon?!

She says they last as long as steel on any surface, I was going to take pics but he lost one already:(
She's coming out today but wants me to find it as she doesn't have many spares, ever tried to find a clear plastic shoe in 40 acres of mixed pasture, woods, rough ground with 2 marshy areas?!
Think I'll order some myself incase it happens again

May be order some wine instead !!! lol toast
the rubber shoes are great but unless nailed on they will fall off. the glue is just not that strong to keep them on in pasture and mud. i asked my tack supplier who used to shoe and he does supply Saratoga race Track about them and he said they are not made to stand up to pasture. hope you find it ;

So farrier said not to shoe dax as his feet are so good! She gave Isis a new one today and reset the other one as 2 clenches were up, he was a right idiot for the forts few mins and she lunged him hard till he settled, she thinks I'm too soft I think!...then he stood like a lamb

Is it just me (or the angle of the pictures) but the right front seems to have the shoe set kind of far back on the hoof? I don't see any shoe on/in front of the toe. Maybe it's just because they are clear.

No, you're right, that shoes been on 10 days already, there was some space on front of the toe but it's grown into it, she just reset a couple nails as the clenches were raised, it's only a few weeks till she's back anyway!

I'm so glad all my horse have good strong feet. Before we moved here they were barefoot unless I went to the mountains. I usually pull their shoes after we get into the colder weather and let them grow out. Don't put them back on until we start riding again. My farrier told me that all of them have a good hard foot...Lucky me!!!
