Anyone worried?
see there's been a death in Madrid, Spain now from someone who was working over there.
And a rushed anti virus and treatment Meds, hmm, we all know what happens when they do those rushed vaccines don't we?
If there's a confirmed case in Asia I think we are done for, I do feel they aren't being tight enough with people flying in and out, a complete ban is needed.

There are already now 2 confirmed cases in the US...they brought home the doctor and missionary worker to Atlanta I think it is knowing they have this confirmed diagnosis. Both have been here as much as 10 days....
Both received a "new" treatment in experimental stage yet but both seem to be recovering. The news media is now not hearing or reporting much...either it is working or they are dead {sorry so blunt} I know though from reading and listening to the news that other nations with confirmed cases are pleading with the US Government to give then the "vaccine" to help their people...of course at our expense, but a life saved is a life saved.
No idea of whether our technology has been shared or not... think this would fall under potential germ warfare would it not??? Scary we even had such a thing available to help... Scarier to realize that such a disease had to get a start by "?"....used against humanity is a bigger question in my mind and to whose hands has it possibly fallen.
In answer to worried??? Very concerned is a better wording for me... if this "vaccine" doesn't work now what? A deadly virus now is in our nation, and on this continent. I pray there is something successfully used to help these people...the spread of it and how it is spread is terrifying!

With world travel so quick, easy and fairly cheap these days, it is extremely easy for an epidemic to become a pandemic.
Ebola is a nasty disease and scientists have been working for decades trying to find a better/effective treatment and/or vaccine.
This outbreak should remind us of a similar situation from the 1980s - HIV. That deadly virus is now a global pandemic still with no truly effective/affordable drugs and absolutely no vaccine (nor does it look like one will be developed anytime soon). I worked 9 years in a research lab studing primarily HIV drugs and vaccines so I know these struggles first hand.
I hope that the new experimental treatments the NIH in Atlanta is using will be effective.

I just finished reading a book called Disease and it scared the crap out of me as far as things like ebola are concerned. When that happens they should shut things right down, nobody goes in or out.

I don't have faith they are telling the truth when they say some cases reported as possible turn out to be negative, to be honest I just never trust what the media says now, so much is screened by the government scary world we live in these days:(

Not like many of us need to be reminded of this but as long as we stay clear of other people's bodily fluids and take precautions when we can't we'll be safe from ebola and HIV. I'm more concerned about airborne diseases like the flu and common cold than ebola and HIV.
