Aramis step on my foot, it was not his fault, I was peting him, and one of the older mares did not like that I am not peting her so she chased him and he step on me. Oh well...Not the first time, but it hurts every time! I dont know how I will ride today, thinking of doing it barefoot :P Oh and my last toe is swolen so thats why it looks so big

You look like you may have broken your toe joint...ow, ow, ow, Owwwwwwww.............................................
Might I suggest NOT going barefoot riding. Honestly, that foot needs some support of a soled shoe. I think it may hurt more with no shoe. Heaven forbid another step on it bare...you will not be so lucky nor happy the outcome!!
Ice and elevate it as much as possible, and get off of it... {Yea, right I know...then who does the horsey things like chores}

My dad lost his toe like this. He has only 9 toes. But I am already walking around.True, I walk like a duck. But at least I'm walking. Thank you for your concern. I don't know how to sit still.

OUCH!! I was stepped on as a child in a similar situation. We went to see my grandmother's very pregnant mare and when another chased her off, she stepped right on my foot. I had to wear a slipper to school for a week or two.

You should learn to sit still for a little while and get off of it and please give it some support, even if it is leg wraps from one of the horses. i was walking round for 4 weeks with a cracked bone in my leg and i finally went to the doctor. and had to wear a boot up to my knee for support to help it heal and not break it more.
what we go thru. for horses.

It's my fault because I am so relaxed around my horses I forget that they are just animals. I had much worse injuries but it seems I never learn my lesson until something really bad happens. But I know you all understand that working with horses brings that kind of a risk, and we are all aware of it.

Ouch! It looks painful! I wonder if it's broken. I horse I used to have stepped on my while I was leading him and broke my toe. We had to work on a lot of respect while being led once I could walk properly again.

Now looks even worse, will take a picture tomorow. Gosh, hate when I can't go riding. I will just have to go bareback, so that stirrups don't hurt my foot even more.

Ouch! Looks like you need to stay off your feet for a bit, keep it elevated and put ice on it. I hope it feels better soon (and I hope it's not broken!)
Many years ago my horse took a step back while I was trying to mount and she stepped on my foot. Out of reflex I tried to pull my foot out and ended up pulling the toenail clean off! I had ridden into town that day, so I proceeded to ride to the doctor's office on the next block to get it looked at while my mom hooked up the horse trailer and drove into town to pick up me and my horse.

I didn't even get into the gory details! It was pretty nasty.
How is your toe/foot today, Lip?

If I can walk it is fine. It hurts when I think of it. I did went on a bareback riding so I am happy. I think nothing is broken just bruised a lot.

I hope the pain has lessened and there is no numbness, numbness isn't good, it means the injury is more severe and needs a doctor. So tell us your toe or other parts of your foot aren't numb.
