I am sometimes so ashamed because of my stallion. He is soooooo noisy, it can't go literally 2 min without him neigh and bringing his private parts out on the open. We have lots of horses in our area, so he feel the scent of them. And boy does he have a voice, like a truck that toured :D People are so afraid of him because of that. No one wants to pet him, and I am always blushing because of his penis, but I can't do much about it. Stallions are stallions, same as boys can be boys... OK all things aside... I use to work with stallions, breeding and competition show horse stallions. When we worked them in mixed company to disguise scents we {I} would with trainers approval put Vicks Vapo Rub in their nostrils or scented Vaseline / Chap Stick so their smells were confused. We though did not permit the calling as that was looked upon as disrespectful, along with dropping...a no-no. wag finger Their attention was to be on their job at that moment. Not sure you have products like this in your nation...maybe that will give you some quiet peacefulness on a ride. Just a thought to think about.... Other than his noisiness I hope your ride was a good one!! Sure was pretty......

I heard from the older people that they did practiced rubbing a mint on stallions nostrils. I frankely don't know how much a good idea is that. I am afraid it would mess with their sense of smell?! And thanks, it was a good ride. I ride every day, just this time remembered to take a camera with me. Tomorow I maybe make more pictures and a video of a gallop.

He's just so white! I don't know how you keep all those white horses clean. Love your pictures as always.

So handsome. for the screaming you could try mint on his nose. and than wash it off later. as for hiding his privates perhaps a long saddle pad/blanket like a 1/2 sheet that will come down past his thigh and not to the knees.
he is proud of himself and just wants the neighborhood to know he is coming down the lane

Thank you. A lot of brushing to keep them white, also a bucket and a sponge before every ride to clean dirty spots.
Horselady, dont know where to find that kind of saddle pad. He is even sweating under the normal one. He would be hot during riding.

We have sweat sheets that look like fishing nets. perhaps even an old lace tablecloth that has lots of holes to allow the heat to go thru the holes. the 1/2 sheet is just that. a small piece of a blanket that attaches to the saddle and goes under the pad.

I rode with a girl that had a Paso stud. She used the vicks and I rode a mare. Never had an issue. It didn't harm him in anyway either...

Othernames for vicks is vaporub or menthorub. It's considered a medicated chest rub if that helps you find it in your area. Otherwise you might have to do the online thing. I know we have it in our drug stores.

oh yes, know I know what it is. It is used for humans also. Interesting, I have never heard someone using that for a horse. Thanks
