two cans of fruit cocktail one can of manderine oranges one bag of mini marshmellows i small can chopped wallnuts i bag of coconut shredded i pint of sour cream
mix all ingredients and serve real cold. i make it the day before serving so the marshmellos get real soft and the flavors blend

I have no idea why it is called ambrosia. perhaps because it is sooo light and fluffy and tasty campfire

No whipped cream? Interesting. I'll have to try this one. I LOVE ambrosia salad. I have a recipe that includes vinegar, oddly enough.

I would think vinegar curdles the sour cream, and it is so creamy whipped cream is not needed. just the sour cream enjoy.

Mine also has eggs in it. It has a lot of ingredients and I rarely make it because it's such a pain. The vinegar gives it a little kick but I bet the sour cream will do that with your recipe.
