Wondering how much you all spend on groceries per month including dog food, I know I spend way too much, mainly as hubby likes good quality preferably organic food and has meat every night, my bill is between $1000-1200 a month, I kinda worked out of I was alone Id prob spend less than a quarter of that lol!
Just ts wondering how many people you were feeding and what you spent, thanks :)

WOW that is alot of money for food for two people and a couple of dogs. and cats. or does that include the birds and horses too?
i spend about $120 a week for human food. and we eat good. i love to buy wholesome food and healthy foods. plenty of fish. and salads and veggies. BUT i buy in bulk and divide the meats. and i watch the labels and make sure i do not purchase made in china foods.
to me organic is perhaps way over priced. i am not going to pay 4.00 for a dozen eggs or 3.00 a pound for free range chicken, and when cooked it all tastes the same.
there are corners you can cut and still eat well. and perhaps your hubby will not know natural food versus your basic food. i took my son shopping when he was here from saudia arabia and he bought all natural foods in a small carry shopping basket and it came to $65.00 imagine he paid 2.00 for 3 apples and 4.00 for two oranges. i was shocked.

I go once a month and I buy a meat package from the local meat store. I spend about 400 a month total. That includes dog/cat food. The meat package I get is steaks. That alone is 107.00. We buy some bulk items. Now that Lint is going back out on the road. I won't cook as often. I can live off cereal. I spend 100 a month for horse feed. I buy 12 bags of 8% @ 8.15 a bag. I think the pig feed and corn was like 17$ a week. I will know better once we have our own here.. These are 50lb bags.

Wow that's really reasonable, I know I can manage with way less, heck eggs alone have all the nutrients you need, sometimes I just like eggs beans and toast, he thinks its weird to not have meat every day! HL, no that's just for us and the dogs and cats the birds cost nothing much to feed and the horses well just hay for the season maybe z$400.

Canada is expensive, alberta where I live more than other provinces, the USA is much cheaper, I spent less on groceries in scotland, I know if I was single I'd manage much easier!
