Hi my name is farmergal (same lady from HT), my dad gave me that nickname when my husband and I purchased our farm 13 years ago. My hubby calls us wanta-be-farmers as we are still struggling to get it right. lol There is soo much to learn and I'm getting a late start. My passion is horses, I wanted them from the time I was born or so that is the story my mom tells. She blames her doctor. Said he was talking to his nurse about his horses while she was giving birth to me. I got my first horse (colt) before the ink was dry on the deed to the property and 8 months later I fell and broke my shoulder while mucking his stall. My therapist asked me what my goal to recovery was and I said I wanted to be able to saddle my horse. I didn't think to mention that I wanted to be able to ride him. lol He was a kid magnet, I couldn't put his saddle on without ending up giving mine and the neighborhood's a ride.
My grandson riding my mini Heidi when he was little. (I need to update my bucket) That's my granddaughter riding Durango with me leading Sold my horses and now I have a POA pony... the pic below is the same little girl. Looks like she could use a bigger mount. I need to lurk for awhile to catch up on the news and figure out more on navigating. Glad to see so many familiar faces and looking forward to making new friends.

Welcome from Northern NY! Are we neighbors? My horses are near Paul Smiths College. Hello horseupnorth2 we are long distance neighbors. You are around 5 hours north of me. I've been up your way when I purchased a miniature stallion in the past. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
