Forgot to update - farrier came back out last week (2 weeks since the last visit) to check things out and give a little trim. I wasn't there but talked to him that night. He said that we had this thing on the run and that I am doing a great job staying on top of it. He said he was surprised at how much growth there was for 2 weeks but I reminded him that I have Mister on biotin. So hopefully with his hooves growing at a quicker pace, it won't take quite as long for these areas to grow out!
I am only treating once a day at this point (his feet were starting to get almost "chalky" from the bleach treatments). Plus he is still at my grandparents on drier ground than he would be at my place. It's not such a bad thing though. My grandfather is quickly going down hill with dementia so it is good to spend a few minutes each day with him. And my grandmother (who is 86 and was the one responsible for my love of horses) is loving having him right outside her window. She feeds him for me every morning so I don't have to come out twice a day.
I'll try to get pictures after the next farrier visit (probably sometime late next week or early the following week) so we can look at the progress.

You are going a great job. perhaps start brushing baby oil or mineral oil on his hooves to keep that chalky look from coming out. sorry about your grandfather. it hurts to see them fail many to you

Here's an update on Mister's feet. The farrier came by Wednesday for a trim and check-up. I did not speak directly to him but I can tell things are definitely progressing in the right direction. I took pictures last night. I wanted to compare the pictures I took on 6/4 (2 weeks after the initial trim) to those I took yesterday (7 weeks after the initial trim). Front right Left Front

Looks much better. Amazing what the body can repair with a little help from us humans... He will be riding sound probably in 2 more trimmings. He probably is now, but I would be hesitant to stress out that still cut-back wall in fear of a nasty crack or breakage. Make sure you use protective hoof boots if the urge to ride gets impossible to deny. Doing good mom...

Looks much much better and your farrier has done a good job of taking the pressure off those parts :)

Thanks. I think my farrier is doing a great job with it. No real worries of me riding, it's just too hot right now. I'd thought about jumping on bareback and riding through the soft grass for a few minutes but I don't want to set back any of his progress.
