My goodness she's a handful! So glad you and your dad both stayed safe, and that you didn't let her win!

She certainly is proud of herself! Looks really muddy. Have you had a lot of rain recently?

She almost has a human like personality. Sassy and proud of her self.

I think she is stunning. and proud and sassy, and very smart. she would make a great herd leader if she were allowed to be with many mares and her choice of stallion.

Funny that she is last in the hurd. She is always alone and by herself because my other mares don't like her one bit. I have problems with that because they don't let her come to the feeder and shalter when the weather is bad.

She is being respectful. if your lead mare were to be away from the herd for a period of time than she would take over. your mare knows that and is keeping her in line.

She certainly is proud of herself! Looks really muddy. Have you had a lot of rain recently? I actually chortled at your "mud" comment, I was thinking; hmmm... looks kind of like a clayey soil, parent material must be glacial till Anyway... she is a gorgeous handful. Interesting though about the stand offishness; Peaches is like that. She is not the top dog either and is usually by herself. However, I don't think that other horses "like" or "not like" others in their herd quite in the same way we feel about others. For instance, there is a buckskin that is in the same paddock as Peaches and in my human terms that buckskin is a real jerk, seeming to push Peaches and a couple of the other horses just for kicks. But! When Peachie and I were waiting in line for the vet a couple weeks ago she nickered at that same buckskin when her and her mom tried to get in line. There are other examples but you see my point. No, I think that horses are so all about safety that "like" isn't really very important.

she sounds like a handful!!! Be safe and cautious when working with her. I'm sure with time and patience she will come around
