I bought a couple of dozen ears of corn yesterday from a local farm stand so today i am going to husk the corn and steam it a couple of minutes and than remove the corn from the ear and freeze the corn in baggies. all set and ready for different receipes this winter. Oh and the husks are going into the field for the horses to chew on.

I brought back 5 dozen ears when I was in Md. I just took off the old shuck down to the new and cut the ends off, dipped the ends in wax and threw them in freezer bags. Just have to thaw and shuck. Just like fresh corn on the cob. I have also heard that you can microwave them in the husk and the husk comes off silk and all. But then again....If there happens to be a worm in it it will be cooked too..That is ewwwwy. At least with they way I do mine I can cut out the extra protein before cooking..
