My age will show here...I remember Ross when he was just starting to be "known" and a name... now he is gone.

Shots rang out Tuesday night killing New York hunter/jumper trainer Ross Reisner in his home. As the horse community mourns the loss of a man remembered for "putting the horses first," homicide detectives investigate.
Officers responded to the normally quiet street after receiving a 911 call. When they arrived at 8:45 p.m., Reisner, who owns the home, was discovered inside the house with a gunshot wound to the chest. Reisner's domestic partner, Kevin Murray, reported gunshots were fired through a window. He was grazed by a bullet in the arm, but refused treatment.
Reisner was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detective Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick told Rate My Horse PRO he doesn't believe the incident was random. "There were bullets intended for both of them. That's the direction we're going, until the evidence tells us something different."
So who would want Reisner dead - and why?
Reisner's brother, Ian, told the Daily News, a 45-year-old from Manhattan is allegedly being sought in connection with the murder. "He was an old friend and now this craziness. There was something weird going on, some bad blood."
Reisner's long-time friend, and former employee, Cory West, said she can't imagine him having any enemies. "He was the guy that everybody loved. People always talked about how he had some kind of positive impact on their lives."
West said he made a difference in her life as well. "He extended an opportunity to me during a tough time."
Reisner was known for his big personality and putting his students in a position to succeed. He most recently operated his business out of Maple Lane Farm in Mattituck. Bobby Ginsberg, his business partner, posted on Facebook, "My friend of over 30 years was suddenly taken from us, I am in disbelief, I am angry and I am heartbroken. My friend is gone."
"He was a genuine horse person, there aren't many left, but he was for sure," said West.
A funeral is planned Sunday, September 29 at 3:30 p.m.at Sinai Chapel. It is located at 162-05 Horace Harding Expy in Fresh Meadows.

? if he was grazed that he must know the person that shot his partner. sounds all too suspicious to me.
