the date should read 2013, not real sure what month it was, but i would guess july. as you can see not much excites her. she sure looks better without the winter fuzzies, wont be too long now, and she will be nice, and shiny again 757724

She's so cute. Her stockings are really unique. What cross is she?

her mom was a 13 hand bay pinto pony, mostly welsh, her dad was a decent sized 12 hand brown jack. mae belle was a teammate with her full brother "maxwell" he was marked SO close to her markings right down to the same back sock, and also had the ermine spots on the legs. he died shortly before we bought her from a telescoping intestine, due to a tape worm. they were together 13+ years as a team, she has been sad ever since, but loves kids, and babies, and is safe with the smallest ones.

She's a cutie for sure but she has such a forlorn look on her face. Is she the reason for your user name?

I personally think that mules and donkeys never forget their favorite mates. my burrow just looked so down and out one night and the next day he was down and within 25 minutes he was gone. he saw so many of his friends pass that the last one of the Arabian Stallion just was too much. She does look sad, but she does know she is loved and that helps.

she IS the reason for my name, people see her, and say "THAT is one fat mule"! she had a pretty tough life before we got her she was a heavyweight pulling mule with her brother that died. she wouldnt work with several other mules they tried her with, making her "useless" to them, we traded a used, but nice saddle for her. she does look "down" (dont all mules?) but is happy, and can run like the wind. when our "green" pasture gets green i will get some good pics. or when they finish shedding, which may be july, it is going to be 30 degrees tonight. sooo yeah, july.
