i do agree with you lipizzan, however some of these "critters", especially coyotes have become very "opportunistic" choosing an easy meal over something the would normally have to hunt for. raccoons, and opossums are well known for getting into the most impenetrable garbage cans (especially coons). coyotes are the BEST for keeping control over rodents, but seem to also prefer the easy way such as raiding chicken coops. they also sometimes are "thrill" killers, and kill several chickens, leaving them laying dead or maimed, and the rest of the flock so stressed they quit laying. i dont like killing any animals, but when there is 300+ acres of vacant state owned land full of rabbits, quail, partridge, pheasant, and white tailed deer, i do get mad when the rip open wire rabbit cages, and get into chicken pens, and coops leaving dead animals behind in their wake.

Any smart animal would rather eat free than work hard for it. But I understand your point of view. And I understand that they cause damage. But still we humans claim right on properties like we have created all living and breathing.
