He's very nice. And has himself quite at home already from what I see.
Sounds like he was well-loved not a abuse case...a surrender from a family for health reasons...
I think he found his new home...and let them do the neuter. You supply the love, food and a forever home...let them do the snip-snip.
How about Charlie...he looks like a Charlie to me? Or something like Wink, or Blinky...he sure can do that from the one picture..and cute it is!!

It sounds like you were in the right place at the right time. He is such a handsome boy, and it looks like he has made himself right at home. Congrats.

Well so far so good. He doesn't bark at all. He grunts some but haven't heard a yelp out of him. He gets excited when you talk to him and he dances all over the place and jumps up on you like a little rabbit. He was picked up wandering around. He is on the skinny side. So he has been lost for awhile. It's amazing a coyote didn't get him. He doesn't come when called if loose so I have to go catch him.Reason for leash..But he has had a leash on before.. I have never seen a doxie so small in size. Sweet is a mini. But she was bigger than him in her youth..She just fat now. She isn't as active as she used to be and her sight doesn't help her.. I really didn't want another dog let alone a male..Even if the owner happens to contact the shelter after the 5 day rule i would give him back. He loves the kids. For the mean while I will give him a home. Going to be interesting come bedtime.Since the other 2 sleep with us. My king size bed is getting smaller...
