Since we don't have many Paints, I found this advert, and I thought ask you guys for opinion, since you know this breed very well. He is one year old, price is 3,300 USD.

The picture surely doesn't do him justice. Long pasterns but better than short ones. More spring to his step. Can you get any better pics of him? Need a pic of him more squared up....If that was the only pic with an ad.It was a poor one. Especially for his price..

As the price, there are not many Paints here, Paints here are like Lipizzans in US. That is way the price is as it is.

For a yearling i think he is great looking. he will be a tall horse if his pasterns are long. i bet over 16 hands. and his lineage is good also. doc. peppy and poco to name a few.
and yes he is pricey but with so few qhs and paints in croatia that is probably why.
what are your plans for him.?

Hmm, I still think his pasterns look way off, Ill be a googler and see if I can find anything relative to it!!!!

His feet are so unevenly trimmed, looks like the right front is longer than the left. and the hinds he has no heel. this of course can be corrected, and those pasterns will come up straighter with age. hope his price is negotiable.

I'll throw my 2 cents in here for what it's worth. He's a nice enough looking horse, but for me, I'm just not a fan of solid Paints, just like I'm not a fan of solid Appaloosas. I think a Paint should look like a Paint and have Paint markings, and an Appaloosa should look like an Appaloosa and have spots. JMO

I'm not a fan of him. I like a lot more bone and I think his pasterns are too long. For a comfortable ride I'm more concerned with a good slope to the shoulder which he does have. He has no wither and he's more downhill than I'd like to see even for that age. Too many stock horses are downhill these days and I'd worry that he'd grow to still be downhill. I like a lower hock set than he has. He's also very plain and has a plain head. His dam is quarter horse so I guess it's not surprising he doesn't have colour. My horse has good bone and short pasterns. He's a dream to ride and has a rocking chair lope, everyone I've let ride him is in love with his smooth gaits. I don't know of this worked. I have a hard time posting pictures on here. If it worked, this is my horse about ten years ago, I didn't realize we have none of him standing square by himself with no tack on. It shows the type of legs I like to see in a mature horse. He's half quarter horse but is also a quarter morgan and a quarter thoroughbred. He has the morgan body and tends towards being heavy.
