The dog that showed up here. Jess is taking care of.More or less adopted her. All of her little titties are shrinking except one. It is hard and isn't shrinking. Any thoughts? She can't afford to put a lot on money into the dog other than getting her spayed. So do you think it might be a cyst or a tumor? Plus we think she is an older dog.Her front teeth are rotten. But that I was told could be from being feed soft food to much instead of hard food. She is getting more friskier..

I know everyone will hate me but I have a female dog that isnt spayed, shes never bred, I never spayed her as having the kennels I couldnt believe how many bitches ended up with spay incontinence so I decided against it, I have a few breeders that bring their dogs to me, his younger female had a weird nipple, sounds like what you described, the vet said as long as it didnt start leaking or looking inflamed then not to worry, he said sometimes they are cancerous but best to leave them alone unless theres a change, he still breeds this dog with no problems.

Hmmm Ok Well I think what we will do is when I ship the horses next week for their coggins we will take her with us and just ask the vet to look at it and what his thoughts are. I know it sounds cruel but if it's going to be an issue in the long run we will have to do something They can't afford to put money into a dog they know nothing about. Especially if it's going to be a big expense. They only have the dog because it was dropped. Otherwise they would have gotten a small breed puppy that they can train and raise.. Damn people who drops of dogs. She did look it up online and it basically said a cyst or it could be a cancerous tumor. No leaking either.. Thanks LD

we get at least 3 "strays" every year! people either figure they live in the country so they let them run free, or they figure we look like a good place to dump their dogs, and cats. maybe your stray has mastitis in one mammary gland? agree, not hot, red dripping ='s no vet bill, just time?

I wonder if she might have a little mastitis from the dry milk. and when she goes in for spaying tell the vet and i am sure when you explain she was a found dog (stray) they might work with you on price. i did that to a dog i rescued and my vet waved the office visit. and he did it again when i got a dog from the neighbors that was left.

I was thinking possibly mastitis also. Please let us know what the vet says. Good luck. I hope it's nothing major.
