I hadn't heard from mine. He was due the 23rd of Feb. So I started looking for someone else. I need them done and have a 3 day trail ride the end of the month. So I asked CJ and he said that he is probably in Texas. I was like why? Well come to find out his brother committed suicide and his family had to get get him. Then he told me that the brothers wife had done the same thing about a month before hand. Poor guy I know he's going through a hard time.
So I decided to wait to see if he answers my calls I made to him. Well Monday when I went to town with Jess and Tony. Lint called me and told me that Travis knocked on the door and told him that he lost my number and that he couldn't call me and there was no number left with the VM. and told him that he can do them the 14th. He also plows our county road. I was happy to hear that. He is really a nice guy and does a great job and is great with the horses.. Plus he's a hoot to talk to. So Lint did give him our condolences and he went on his way.. He's cheap too. 25 a trim 50 for shoes all around. I usually give him a little extra and pay cash. He told me when I first met him that he prefers cash but will take a check. And tips are excepted...So he'll drink a beer or 2 while he does the horses. I do offer.....
