There Ive said it.....I miss the coast, I was brought up about a 20 minute drive from the coastline in south west scotland, I never knew how much Id miss the coast, I noticed it after maybe 4 years being land locked in canada but recently its hit me hard, maybe because Im a pisces, but I yearn to walk along the beach, see a foggy sunrise, smell that damp air, I cant believe I miss fog and mist, we dont get it much here, theres a movie on and its in the uk somewhere, its all dull and misty lots of coastal filming and I feel like crying, I miss cherry blossoms too, cherry blossom trees, never seen any here, I dont miss the rain though!.......just had to get it off my chest:)

LD I can feel your pain. I miss the coastlines of the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River. We had cherry blossom trees also.. I miss riding the beach too!

I personally think you're nuts for ever leaving Scotland! I wish so much I could just pack up and move there! One day I will, not any time soon, but one day! You should take a road trip over to BC and hit the coast for a few days. When the weather is nicer, or course. I get homesick sometimes, not sure why as my family annoys me. I love them, but can't spend more than 8 hours at a time with them LOL But it's hard being so far away and not having friends here. Here are some pics of the sea we took from Culzean Castle a few years ago. Not the same as being there, but maybe it will help

Come to the mid Atlantic region in the states. Assateague and Chincoteague Islands are very beautiful (different from Scotland, no doubt), but still quite pretty. I'll see if can get my pics to post here, off my Ipad. I took some beautiful pics of Assateague Is. this winter, after the had melted. LOVE the Ipad for picture taking!
