A dog has found it's way into our yard. Jess text me and said there is a dog out here. It's skinny. I said well feed it. Well I went over to look and sure enough she is a beagle mix and just had puppies. Her teats still have milk. She is very friendly and she cries when you talk to her and doesn't have a mean bone so far. So we fed her and gave her water. Posted ads locally. Jess had a box and cut a hole in it and put a blanket in it for her but she wouldn't go in the box. So she took the blanket and laid it beside the box. I went out and she was curled up in the blanket but was shivering. So I took the box and opened up one side of it and put the blanket back in there. Last time we checked on her.Filled up her water bowl and gave her more food. She was in the box and not shivering. So that made me feel better. I don't want to bring her in the house. I have no crate to put her in. Or a room that she could stay in. So she is out in the equipment barn..She looks to maybe have some spaniel in her..But she seems to be a nice dog. No collar of course. Probably dropped off. Jess's hubby said quit feeding it. I told her to tell him to kiss ass. That we're not going to let any animal starve to death and to get over it.. MEN So we may have another critter...I doubt if anyone claims her...

OMG I hate to think where her babies are or what happened to them. She reminds me a bit of Maymo and Penny. They're beagle crosses that are internet stars. They have the cutest videos and they're lighter coloured like her. Good for you for helping her, poor little soul.

I suppose you will have to keep her and tell the idiot that if he were lost wouldn't he enjoy someone to feed him and give him a place to stay. MEN
call around to local vets, perhaps someone knows her and if the owner is not found perhaps they will work with you to give you a cheaper rate to get her spayed. you have a good heart. jumping-heart

Well I guess Jess and him got into last night about the dog. So guess who won!!! I let her come into the house this morning and she was a happy camper..Even picked up a few of Sweet's toys..Sweet wasn't to happy about it. Molly didn't care. So I guess Jess will give he a bath today and get her cleaned up. It's her dog now. So she will take her to the vet and get her spayed and check out. My cat went out the front door and she was there and the cat puffed up and hauled. It was funny. He isn't like that with the others but she kinda took off after him and he was in flight mode...lol So she has a home...Why can't a millonaire show up at my door... maybe

Your kindness is rewarded in so many ways. and be sure to tell the vet that she is a stray and ask about reduced rates

Poor little gal. I'm glad she has a home now. I just saw on the internet that Maymo and Penny that I'd mentioned are lemon beagles. They're a similar colour to your girl.

Not to be the downer cause I know you are already attached to her...when she goes anyplace have her wanded just in case she is micro-chipped and did get lost. Dogs in this crazy weather and new moms do silly things sometimes.
But,... I do think she is yours now and has found a forever home.
Now...hubby may find himself in the barn with no food or water if he keeps it up!!!

Bless you and Jess for feeding her and giving her a home. I hate to think what happened to her pups, but at least she will be well cared for now.

Well she got a bath yesterday. Was very good about it. She spent the night in the house. They had to take her out on a leash to get her to go potty. Because every time they let her out she just ran back in..No accidents either. I went over this morning and she was sun bathing at the front door. Didn't move out of the way either. Jess said she jumped up in the bed with her this morning after the kids left for school. She gave Ashley a kiss. So she is just resting and enjoying the pampering she is getting. When you talk to her she whimpers...So she is doing fine...Lint & Tony rode their horse's and they had to turn around because she started to follow them. They are calling her Missy.she seems to respond to that. So all is well and she just eats and sleeps...Smart dog...
