Man you guys are really getting dumped on with the . I can honestly say I'm glad I'm not on the east coast or further north..All our has melted. So now we're dealing with mud bogging. It's like slime here. We have the rig hooked up to go get Libby in the morning. After we pick her up we will head to a place that has a lot of used tack for sale. Trying to find Jessi a saddle. Tony is going to buy the Simco I had for sale. So that worked out for both of us. He rode Geno and really likes him. Even though Geno didn't like the bit I used on him. But I found another one I had that I think will work better. We went today and picked up the auger for the tractor. Will try it out as soon as it dries up enough. Our next adventure will be to load all of them up in the stock and take them to the vet for coggins and rabies. I will do the other shots. Had a white what we thought was a duck in the field but when it flew off it looked like a white goose. It has a black tail and wing tips. I threw feed out for him. SO maybe he will come back. He did once and left again. Then we are going to go get 10 more round bales of hay.. Busy busy. As soon as this weather warms up. I will start repacking the LQ and get ready for the girls weekend camp out at the end of March. Hope the weather is good that weekend.. I got 2 videos of Geno. I will post them as soon as they finish downloading.. Here are a few of Tony's first ride..

Great videos. I just love the way Geno moves! He's so floaty. Your entire herd is beautiful!

We just got back in the house. Left here at 730 this morning and got back about 5. Libby was a tad stubborn getting on the trailer. But with a few taps on the butt with a lead rope she got in. She rode well all the way home. We went to the tack place. What a cluster...Stuff was so piled up and you couldn't hardly move around. Jess got a synthetic black saddle for 85$ she wanted 100. Then they got 2 cinches, a pony bridle and Billie Jo had to get a pink lead rope to match her ponies halter. Put Libby out in the herd. Jess got some video with her phone. Libby was ok but the typical mare. She let them know they weren't going to rule her...JR has fell in love... She rolled so we have no grey horses or palomino's anymore. We have blacks...I think she will be ok. We have to get ground rods for the field fence and then we will let them out there 2 @ a time so no one runs through it. Been a long day. A neighbor from down the road. Don't know him but he waves all the time. He was rolling by and stopped and told Lint you have some nice looking horses. The one across the road that has a mare walked up his driveway. Guess he heard the squealing and thought his mare was loose. So he stood there and watched ours. So now we can concentrate on getting the perimeter fence up and then they can run all the 20 acres of field...So as soon as the mud dries up enough we will get back to that...Next thing is to go get more round bales...It never ends...

Ah yes the commotion a mare will cause in a group of geldings. and the screams and squeals sound like a bunch of pigs.
as for turning the horses out on the pasture, hope it is dry or they will chew it up like crazy, so keep them in until it dries up a little or you will not have grass. . or just section of a larger area for them to play on.
anyway, good luck with the herd. now the real fun begins.

I couldn't get the videos, my computer is old and I think it's dying. I can rarely get videos at all anymore. Anyway, he's gorgeous. How exciting for you guys!
