it never goes easy,, well a boarder has been leaving his food am and pm,, i have been watching him,, he is eating all his hay at night and is nibbling the grass that is out in the field,, and the hay also,, i did notice he poops but it is smallish and kinda dry,,, since he is in every night i gave him oil in his food with an apple he will not eat it,, i soaked his hay, and he is eating that,, i did notice he tried to poop and nothing came out,, i fed other horses and came back to him he did poop a few smallish balls,, i gave him oil in his mouth and i inserted oil in his heiny ,, if he does not poop better can i give him fleet,,? and i will call the vet if he is still having issues.
these horses are causing me to turn grey under my dye..

I've seen vets flush from both ends............. Just make sure you are out of the line of fire cause fire it will right at you..
Its weird he is eating wet but having such dry... Is he maybe not drinking enough? Is his water safe, no electrical near he might be sensing the feel of?

The water in the paddock is heated during the day when they are out,, and in his stall at night he bumps the bucket i think until it is empty,, he has a habit of grabbing the bucket and letting it go and it disrupts all the water inside.
the vet did give fluids via nose tube,, and did get him to poop via sleeve,, but when he was in his stall the two hours before she came,, oh my two loads in the bucket, lol
i felt i did the right thing,, i was worried to it being worse.. vet says wet his hay,, and little food tonight and tomorrow and turn him out .. horses dogs cats any animal can not speak..

he began to act blocked up again. his owner came by to walk him and as per vet instruction i gave banamine again,, when in his stall i gave him just a 1/3 of what his hay ration should be, and i wet it,, also i squirted oil like an enema and some small balls came out, the vet said his sounds are ok,, and his exam is not showing a twist or blockage.. but there is alot of intestine in a horse.... i feel miserable.

Sorry I didn't see this. But Yes you can give Fleet orally and up the rear. I saved that stallion doing it as a last resort. I used 8 bottles.
