Hey all, I'm looking forward to joining this forum and watching it grow. Many of you know me but here's a little bit about me anyway. I live in Louisiana about an hour north of New Orleans. I've been around horses all my life but actively involved for over 20 years now. Currently I only have one horse: 24 year old APHA stallion Mister. I like to go on trail rides and compete in some local competitive trail rides when the weather is nice (read: not in the summer!). Mister:  I also have two cats: a 10 year old gray tabby, Casey and a 7 month old dilute torti, Sophie:  Finally, I have a 16 year old son who just got his license (so I don't see much of him any more). Here's a picture of him with Mister this past winter:  So that's me in a nutshell. If I left anything out, just ask! |

So glad to see you here joining in...
I must say Mister is gorgeous and doesn't look his age.
Love the kitties...they are sweet looking.
As for your son, his age and independence... been there with mine although mine was later as he is disabled...{he still doesn't drive a car but can sure drive me over-the-top sometimes...love him to death!}
I feel for you, tough to not say, do or even look their way sometimes and not set them off...hormones, uck!!
Welcome... hope you spend sometime here...send your friends this way too..we all get along, have fun, laughs and sometimes tears together.

Welcome top the new forum. Glad you decided to join in. Mister is a handsome and looks great for his age. The kitties are cute. I'm glad my child rearing years are gone. Only have 2, my son is 39 and my daughter is 35. I only have 4 legged children now... |

your horse is amazing looking and yes boys and cars are a given.
When you have a chance update your avatar to something of you, and also add your state and town in your profile so we know where everyone is living.

Thanks for all the great comments and welcomes. Sorry it took me so long to get back to everyone - I actually took a vacation for a week+!!!  Casey (the tabby) is a fairly large cat but he looks much bigger in that picture because Sophie is so small. I need to get an updated picture as she is growing like a weed. Oh, and thanks for the compliments on Mister. Thanks to redzip's advice about putting weight on an older horse, he looks as good as he does. |
