I have liked to watch Berry Hooks videos for several years. I noticed the white horse in a lot of his videos but didn't realize its importance in his team training.
In loving memory of Roly, who passed peacefully on 12th February 2018. In his time as Barry's partner, he helped him train many horses to harness, and has earned his place as a legend. Placid, reliable yet still full of character, he preferred people to other horses, always had his ears back listening for Barry's commands, didn't like being bathed but loved rolling in mud afterwards, preferred carrots to Polos, knew how to open gates and stable doors, remembered every driving route Barry used without needing to be steered, drove happily in every possible combination with other horses but loved his special Christmas job when he drove as a single, and put hoofprints on the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Rest in peace dear boy, you will never be forgotten.
