How cute,, some are so tiny.. and look like little horses.. oh that is what they are lol how are last years and did you sell any? I sold a mare and gave two away. Amish are looking at least two is I will sell. Still trying to kick my own behind for selling the mare. She went to a uncle of some of my Great Grand kids that live within walking distance of them. I got a hug and a thank you from one Great Grand Daughter last Sunday for selling her. She said she pets her every day. I only have one mare that might be pregnant for next year. The mares foal so late this year I don't think I want to have more next year in the August heat. I will see what next spring looks like health wise. Dang Doctor Friday tried to tell me 80 is old. Silly young know it all Doctors. Mom will be 101 tomorrow and still paying her own bills and living alone. Walks better than I do and they think I am old. Gee Whiz.

Late foaling in summer is not fun.. by the time they are weaned it is too late to sell them. and yes having the mare have a break is best.. and perhaps you need a break also.. and kick butt,,, and happy birthday to mom.. 101 bless her.. i hope she has a tap recorder and turns it on and tell some of her stories for the family.. i love hearing seniors talk.. they always fascinate me with their antics of when they were young.
