7/29/2017 Babydoll gave birth to a colt that is a mystery color. After thinking it had somehow he had fell on something that poked an eye out upon the vets exam it was found to have been born blind. He was still smart enough to latch on and nurse right away. I ask Doc if he should be put down. Dock said he has a blind mare that has given birth to six foal and she is doing fine. He just puts a bell on the foal right away. Doc said he will do fine but will take a little extra work. This picture was taken before I had been in the lot with them. A brand new challenge for a new learning experience for an old man. His dad is in the picture behind the chair and all of his foal have been lighter in color and several a light paint up until this year.
