The good and bad horse rescues

Isn't it sad the state of affairs with those so called rescues? One of my biggest pet peeves are the auction houses asking for "bail money" for certain horses. The one around here is always the same - on the horse bareback with a halter and lead rope talking about how great the horse is trained and will ride. Script is almost always the same too. Then after some poor, unsuspecting person comes and bails this horse so it won't go to slaughter, they will use that money to buy multiple horses to ship off. People don't realize by falling for this scam they are actually sending more horses to slaughter. Yes, they are saving one. And of course every horse's life matters. But people need to educate themselves about these things.
