Interesting......
So I can see some benefits but possible pitfalls of "depreciation of horseflesh", racing Thoroughbreds, that might keep them running when they start to fail or fall apart instead of retiring them? Will that also increase slaughter bound??
Or do I have it wrong??? Getting through the twisting words of bureaucracy gets confusing with all the "added-on" trade-offs.

Im no good with political stuff. But horselover4life I gathered that instead of having horses running for 7yrs to get the benefit of depreciation, the horses including training time would only have to be "in service" for 3, thus shortening time on the track I think? That was how I read that. So no I dont see how that would mean horses would potentially be running longer. Im not sure how it affects the slaughter bound horses.
