hl4l - yes, that is a dressage saddle, thus my comment about needing to drop my stirrups a few holes to get my legs under me better. LOL.

Well you both are trying hard and have a lifetime of showing and making an attachment.
now the teacher in me is going to come out.. in the photo of the comment he looks like a mule... i see your leg lengths are different .. or is the angle or you off balance.. ??
he sure is handsome.. and you did make a great choice.. and i think the braids on a gelding should be counted uneven.. and a mare even in number... just saying.. lol

Thanks all! HL - I think they were probably a half hole off. I fixed that last night. I don't ride in that saddle enough and my legs often feel uneven. He had an odd number of braids in the mane but I guess if you count the forelock, it was even.  |

since i do have one leg shorter than the other i used lifts in the shorter leg boot to be even cause the judges always were noticing the difference.. and no you count the mane braids...

I am actually doing another show next weekend (the 21st). This will be a combined test so dressage and stadium jumping. But I am really really enjoying riding Parker and getting to know each other. He is such a good boy and tries so hard for me in whatever I ask of him. Sunday's lesson worked on some roll backs over poles and jumps. Monday I worked some more on it but just on the flat. Next thing I knew we were doing a canter pirouette. I knew he had some dressage experience but i didn't think he knew that much. It was such a surprise and so much fun.
