I hope you follow that message up again with a "please keep my information. I am still interested"
"Turnover" in barns with the work ethic of many today is HUGE... Being dependable, mature, workers who work...not text and yap on a phone You may yet have a return "are you still interested?"......

"Messaging" is a great tool....but has limitations! Try using a actual telephone though and speaking with the barn owner or manager conveying your interest in that job, or any job. You did reply, but a little more effort{again} and one-more time might just land you that job. Personally, I would follow up a week after I was "messaged" with that phone-call again....takes about a week to know if your new employ is going to work-out or not. I do feel like "messaging" is not the way to go after a job...personal pet-peeve. Good luck.

Yes I understand what you are saying, and personally I dont care much for messaging, email, text etc. Im much more of a phone call or face to face person in these situations. However this ad was posted in a facebook group that I belong too. They asked for those who were interested to "message" them on facebook. No phone number was or is posted as this is a smaller barn. It seems as though a lot of people do prefer "messaging" to phone calls these days. Im geussing that sorting through a bunch of facebook messages may seem more convenient than them receiving a bunch of phone calls. Not sure really though.

It also allows "them" when you initiate contact to look at your "page" ..... Reason why you need to always be aware of who you make contact with, who can access and how privately you keep your settings on FB.. It is common today for a perspective employer to "research" a person through social media... You can learn a lot about a person who posts often and much without much"digging" effort... Just beware and aware of what may be going on.
Good luck with securing the job...and getting back into riding.

Yes, Im aware of that.
Are you making this assumptions about me for a reason? You seem to be a bit confrontational based on you past few replies, hard to tell over the internet though.

Nope..... actually not making any "negative" assumptions. You strike me as someone with a head firmly screwed on, a list of priorities and a life you work to enhance and make better for you and all around you.
Many people truly don't realize how much employers, potential ones, now watch/use social media to see the "other side" of a applicants life. I was in a job position to watch this practice grow and become common practice.
It wasn't meant to be offensive... Sorry if you took it that way. I won't make comment anymore.
Good luck with your job search.
